Died and went to pizza heaven. Buffalo mozzarella. My God the crust with all the bubbles and the juicy cheesy bites. Peroni on tap. Calamari and Brussels as apps and crème brûlée for the big finish. The best service in the OC. People why there isn't a line out the door s beyond me. Hands down the best HB food and service by a mile.

We had a surprise party for one of our dear friends on Tuesday. Parking was a snap in the downstairs structure. Normally $8 per hour but Nardo validates so it was free. The place is quite large, very modern, and we had a choice of sitting on the patio or in their spacious interior. Too cold for an ocean view seat so we sat inside. Service was pretty good throughout or visit. Started things off with a delicious old fashioned. Then a Caesar salad. One of the best salads I can remember. My wife and I split the salsiccia pizza and some kind of ravioli dish. Both were excellent. The table of eight ended up splitting six different desserts and one was better than the next. The cannoli and the chocolate mousse were the best. An overall excellent meal.

Our friends took us here for lunch and said it was the next best thing to what they ate in Italy! It's a beautiful location, from the uniquely painted pizza oven, to the plateware, and especially the ocean view. They have outdoor seating as well, but since it was a bit windy we dined indoors. Our server was awesome and so welcoming! We started with the potato croquettes upon recommendation from our friend. It's the cheesiest potato bite you'll have! I liked the creamy sauce that came in the side, wish it was a little bit thicker but otherwise it was flavorful. We also enjoyed the brussels sprouts, with parmigiano reggiano and the vinegar was perfect amount of acid. Don't forget to request bread, they won't bring it automatically but it is complementary! I couldn't decide between pizza or pasta, but luckily my husband and friend ordered pizzas while I had pasta. I had a bite of the cacio e pepe and it was amazing! The dough itself was so fresh and cooked to perfection, and it had the perfect amount of mozzarella. My linguine tarantine was a great dish - loaded with scallops and clams on homemade squid ink linguine, but I would have to pick the pizza as my favorite. I am more of a white sauce fan so the cacio e pepe was right up my alley. Amazing spot to dine with a great view! They were kid friendly as well, bringing us a cup with a lid and they have high chairs if needed. They are located within an outdoor shopping area so it's nice to walk around before/after, and they also have a parking garage (yes Nardo will validate!). I would definitely recommend when you're in the area!!

Starting off with the ambiance, dining at Nardo felt like it was more on the elegant side but not too too fancy. Their tables and seats are spread out so the place doesn't feel too crowded. In terms of the food... I've seen this place before, but only decided to try their food upon reading about them making the top 50 pizza places to eat at. We ordered their Nardo pizza since it was named after the restaurant. It was baked in the oven for a short period of time, but the oven was hot enough that it was crispy and delicious while the inside was doughy in the best way. Something interesting is that they out a bit of ricotta cheese in the crust of the pizza and the prosciutto wasn't salty at all. I've never tried prosciutto that was not salty and I actually prefer it. Our waiting suggested the squid ink pasta and I think I'll give it a try next time. In short, definitely a place to check out. If you prefer an oven-baked pizza then you will enjoy this place. If you prefer crispy pizza then maybe try a different dish?

Looking for a Neapolitan pizza spot? Their Huntington Beach pizza will be the best margherita pizza you can find in the OC. I'm usually a fan of Diavola but I'd say their HB margherita is even better. I also tried their linguine ink pasta and it was a fantastic dish. The lasagna unfortunately wasn't quite up to par. Great friendly service and staff. Their indoor space and outdoor patio are also very cozy and dog friendly.

This was on my list of places to try for a while and I'm glad I finally came! The service was exceptional! The waiter gave great input on what to order and checked on me frequently. I ordered the gnocchi ortolana. It was really good! I'd definitely order again. I love a good gnocchi and pesto sauce. The restaurant was well decorated and clean.

My friends and I dined at Nardo for a birthday dinner and we loved it! We went on a Friday night and made a reservation, but honestly I don't think we needed to! There were a lot of tables available around 8:00 pm. The atmosphere was trendy, and combined a beachy and classic feel. We shared calamari and brussel sprouts and both were delish. For drinks, I enjoyed their "Porn Star" cocktail, it was basically a passion fruit mimosa, SO yum! For my main I had the capricciosa pizza - red sauce pizza with San Marzano tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, salame, mushroom, artichokes and olives. It was so good but a large portion! I suggest sharing it if you are getting appetizers. They brought a dessert out to celebrate my birthday as well. The service was very nice and our waiter was great with our large group. We would definitely dine here again.

Surprisingly tasty eatery at Pacific City. I've walked by many times in the past, always thinking it had the feel of a tourist trap, but was pleasantly surprised when we finally dined in. The feel of the restaurant is casual, but the food carries authentic elements. In other words, it is far closer to the authentic side than the chain American interpretation of Italian cuisine. Menu is a nice selection in my mind, and not completely devoid of value. There was a wait for outdoor seating for a weekend dinner. We chose to sit inside to avoid the wait. Service was fast - not that engaging, but efficient. Would be happy to return again in the future!
